The Ministry of Trade, Investment and Tourism (MTTI) conducted training on the Maritime Module of the Port Community System (PCS) as part of ongoing stakeholder engagement and capacity-building activities under the project.
The training covered the electronic submission and management of vessel arrival and departure information, including IMO FAL forms, the standard international forms used for vessel clearance. Participants included shipping agents, who submitted the required maritime declarations, as well as government agencies, which review and process the submissions.
During the sessions, participants received hands-on guidance in using the PCS to manage these declarations, enabling seamless information sharing and supporting more efficient vessel clearance processes across the port and logistics community. The module is scheduled for launch in March 2026.
This activity forms part of the Ministry’s continued efforts under the PCS project to strengthen trade facilitation and enhance the ease of doing business in Trinidad and Tobago.
