Manage Groups

PCS Organisations are further subdivided into groups of users that are associated with the same actor on the PCS. Therefore, groups are used to manage users involved in the same business activity. A group and an actor is automatically created for each business activity the organisation selects during PCS registration. Within each group, it is possible to have multiple users with different roles. Organisation Administrators are assigned to all the groups created within their organisation during registration.
The Organisation Admin and Group Admin can click the “My groups” tab in the navigation menu to view a list of the organisation’s groups. Alternatively, you can open the organisation account and select “Groups” in the menu above the organisation details.
The group name will indicate the actor type (e.g. FW in Fast Shipping Ltd_FW). Click on the group name to view the details.

Add User to Group

Users that have been assigned the Organisation Admin or Group Admin roles can manage the users within the groups. Click the plus icon next to the “Users” section heading to add registered Organisation Members to the group.

The list of applicable users will be displayed in a pop up screen. Click the plus icon in the Add column to add a particular user.

The user will now be listed in the “Users” section below the group details. When the user has been successfully added to the group, they will be associated with the group’s business activity. However, the user must be assigned to roles in order to access the specifc features and functions within the PCS services.

Reminder: Users assigned to the Group Admin role cannot see groups that they are not assigned to. Due to the hierarchy of the roles, the Group Admin also cannot view the Organisation Admin profile nor assign the Organisation admin to any groups or roles.

Remove User from Group

A user can be deleted from a group by clicking the bin icon in line with the user’s name.
